THE MIGHTY ROOTSMEN: SUPERGRUPPO REGGAE REINVENTA I CLASSICI ROCK & POP

The Mighty Rootsmen è una superband reggae che riunisce alcune delle leggende più iconiche della musica giamaicana: Toots Hibbert, Gregory Isaacs, Mykal Rose, Luciano, insieme al duo ritmico Sly & Robbie, Mikey Chung, Robbie Lyn e Sticky Thompson. 

Il loro progetto d’esordio, previsto per il 25 luglio 2025, è un omaggio creativo che reinterpreta classici del rock e del pop americano in chiave reggae, mantenendo intatta l’anima delle canzoni originali

Il primo singolo, “I Won’t Back Down”, è una rivisitazione in chiave reggae del brano di Tom Petty, con la voce potente di Toots Hibbert e la chitarra di Mike Campbell, membro degli Heartbreakers. Questa versione trasmette un messaggio di determinazione e unità, 

Prodotto da Ralph Sall, noto per le sue collaborazioni con artisti come Paul McCartney e Billy Joel, l’album è stato registrato ai leggendari Anchor Studios di Kingston. Il progetto include reinterpretazioni di brani di artisti come Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Steve Miller, Seals & Crofts, John Denver, Badfinger e Cat Stevens, trasformandoli in nuove versioni reggae che celebrano l’eredità musicale giamaicana
